1. at the start, choose smackdown. The reason for this is that RAW has the diva belt....divas arnt as high ranked as males....well trish is but thats the only one, so pick smackdown since it has the cruiserweight title
2. Put 2 people that always ask for title shots as the tag champs, this will stop them asking heh...lol
3. When they are getting angry because they are losing 5,6,7,8 in a row, release the superstar, then go into the free agents and re-sign them.
4. After 2 years of the mode, most of your superstars should be in the high eightys and ninetys, so use that wisely (i was getting a 4 star show every week)
5. When vince emails you the reminder about the upcoming draft....go to the free agents and sign as many jobbers as you can (this will give you more of a chance to keep your big stars)
the last one i think is the most helpful because i did it and they ended up with: Flair: 22 popularity Conway: 33 Joy: 18
and i came out with the goods...so yeah....
enjoy!!!!!!!

1. Always check how many squares of fatigue a particular type of match will tag your stars with. My first 2 seasons I lost half my frikkin roster to injury. This one, I have lost NO ONE.
2. You need a pen and paper to play GM mode. As soon as someone passes 4 squares of fatigue, give them the week off...or if you are at a PPV, put them in a match that only gives one square of fatigue, or risk injury.
3. Rivalries are KEY. Always have your current rivalries....no less than 5 of them, written down and check often to see how many thumbs up they have. As soon as one goes to Thumbs Down, kill it after the following PPV. Make sure that your rivalries are always facing each other, even if it means a tag match or they both manage against each other. If you are resting one, rest them both and use the promo to keep the rivalry alive. Try to NEVER repeat a match type if you can, thus why the pen and paper are important.
4. About every 6 weeks you need to rest the entire top 50% of your roster in a single week and make 6 one on one matches starting from the bottom of your popularity list just to ensure no injuries. Take the 1 week hit in the ratings and it will pay off in the long run.
5. Read the hometowns.....play the right people in the right cities in the main event and score huge. I put Tajiri vs Lita in a main event in Japan and that match got a 4 star rating.
6. Happiness is also key. If you have 3 or 4 guys that are unhappy cause they want title shots, take them all into a 6 man battle royal title shot and make em all happy at once. Watch your rivalries though.
7. Never sign more than a 3 month contract. Some guys hold out for a bit more money from time to time, and if you have already signed them to a year's contract you are throwing money away to keep them happy by adding time beyond the 1 year GM mode just to keep em happy.
8. Run slander once every 6 weeks...especially the week before a PPV. Make sure you have a strong show the week you run it.
9. Trade up and sign a free agent. The CPU picking team always picks 12-15 on their roster, so trade 2 poor performers for a middle of the pack guy, then go sign the top free agent. I traded Snitsky and Heidenreich for Benjamin, then signed William Regal because I had a PPV coming up in England. Worked out great. If you are Smackdown, draft Lita or Trish, as they will carry a lot of weight in a trade with RAW.
10. Key superstars for big ratings. Ladder matches draw ratings, and do less fatigue damage than other main event match types. This makes Shawn Michaels, Edge and Christian invaluable as middle of the pack draft picks.
11. ALWAYS check the contract status and keep re-signing people to 5 week contracts whenever you have some free cash. If you are running low on cash, run Advertising as your promo one and two. DO NOT rush trough matches and weeks as you will miss contract signings. GM mode must be played at a medium pace (hehehe Adam Sandler rocks)
12. Battle of the sexes. Pitting a female star (60+) against a male counterpart (50+) seems to draw decent ratings...who knew?
13. SAVE.....If you are going to rush through the season, at least save your damn game after every week so that you don't lose a top star for 10-16 weeks and ruin your season.
